Upper Skyway has incredible views of Pikes Peak and the front range, while Lower Skyway has great views of the Broadmoor and Colorado Springs. Bear Creek Park borders the community to the north, Pike National Forest borders the community to the west, and North Cheyenne Canyon Park borders the community to the south.

Bear Creek Park is an area with over 500 acres of open space for people to enjoy. Also in the park are plenty of activities for everyone to participate in. A community garden and pavilion are available for people to enjoy and sit in the shade. A volleyball pit is there for whoever to use. A playground and tennis courts are available. There is also a dog park there for your four-legged friends. Bear Creek Park is a very popular spot with residents.
Pike National Forest is a national forest with over 1 million acres of space. In the forest, there is camping, fishing, and plenty of hiking options. The forest is a great place to spend a day exploring the beautiful nature of the state. Pike National Forest is an amazing place to visit any time of the year. During the winter, cross-country skiing is available as well as ice fishing at some reservoirs.
North Cheyenne Canyon Park is a park with 1,600 acres near Skyway. At the bottom of the canyon, a creek runs through it, making the park a great place for wildlife. Bear, mountain lions, and deer are commonly spotted in the park. Helen Hunt Falls is a beautiful place in the park with a waterfall and great trails surrounding it. It is a great place to take some pictures and enjoy the natural feel of the surroundings. Trails are available throughout the park for hikers and bikers. Dogs are allowed in the park, but they must be kept on a leash at all times. There are 2 visitor centers in the park, so you can go and get hiking maps the day you arrive. North Cheyenne Canyon Park is a beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors. Skyway is ideally located near the park to be able to visit it frequently.
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This family-friendly place is a great time to spend with the kids or anyone for that matter. Only 5 minutes from the Broadmoor, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is home to an abundance of animals. With gorillas, lions, elephants, and even a rhino, everyone in the family can spot their favorite animal. Not only that, the zoo has some of the best views of the city of Colorado Springs. The zoo is open year-round and provides great experiences for the entire family.
Manitou Springs. West of Colorado Springs on Highway 24 is the town of Manitou Springs. This quaint town is a popular place to visit for people living in Colorado Springs. Manitou Springs has great views of the mountains, great dining and shopping options, and fun activities for the whole family. If you love hiking and want a challenge, the Manitou Incline is perfect for you. Gaining over 2,000 feet of elevation in less than 1 mile, this hike is a great way to challenge yourself. Connecting to Barr Trail at the top of the incline, you can continue up the mountain and climb to the summit of Pikes Peak if you so choose. Also in Manitou Springs is the Manitou Penny Arcade. This is a great place to spend some time throughout the day. With skeeball, pinball, and other classic arcade games, the Penny Arcade shows off a great time for the whole family. You can still find games to play for just a penny as well! Manitou Avenue is the main road that runs through town, and the buildings on the road have the same architectural design from the 1800s. The town has maintained the buildings to provide great historical accuracy of the architecture of the time. Manitou Springs has so much to offer, and it is a great place to spend some time.
Country Club of Colorado. The Country Club of Colorado is a great place to spend time. Whether you want to relax at a spa, play a round of golf, swim in a pool, or just enjoy the beautiful scenery, Country Club of Colorado Memberships lets you do all of that. Memberships can include access to their 16 tennis courts, including access to outdoor and indoor clay courts, volleyball and basketball courts, their 32-acre lake to enjoy, and their aquatics center and year-round pool. Golf memberships allow you to golf all year long or bring 6 guests per year and enjoy some of the best golfing in the area. Dining at the club is great, as there are options for everyone whether you want casual or fine dining.
