What: With nearly 200 bagpipes and an entire array of Celtic instruments, this concert is sure to impress. Enjoy traditional Celtic music as well as a number of other activities and competitions!
When: THIS WEEKEND - June 15th - June 17th
Where: Memorial Park
Why: Celtic music is not only traditional and culturally significant, it rocks. Enjoying bagpipes and other traditional Celtic instruments is always a fun experience for kids and parents alike. The amazing thing is seeing so may bagpipes in action at once. The harmony is incredible and a must-see if you like being outside listening to great music.
Why: Colorado is a special place. The highest place (on average) than any other state comes with responsibility and privilege. Of those include an incredible wild space known as the Arkansas River. This drainage is truly unique with incredible water sport, wildlife watching, hunting, fishing and camping opportunities. FIBARK is the celebration of all of these things, focussing on the Arkansas River and the water sports to be had there.
Where: Formerly known as Sky Sox stadium, Security Service Field is located in the North side of Colorado Springs off of Powers Blvd.Click here for Directions
Why: Even though the Sky Sox are a farm team for the Milwaukee Brewers they always seem to give the crowd a great baseball game to watch. Sky Sox have a strong team this year and the stadium experience at Security Service Field is always top-notch.
Why:This event sounds totally awesome. It is the first of its kind and is solely to celebrate and highlight the culture Colorado Springs along the Westside which includes local bands jamming out, local gallery artists performing live art right on stage (Imagine Bob Ross but in real person!), an area that is 100% dedicated to the kids, local artisans, and some of the greatest breweries, and restaurants serving up delicious libations.
Why: Local bands in Colorado Springs consistently perform at venues around town and nationally touring bands and artist are always touring and making stops in Colorado Springs. We love both! Our go-to source for concerts is the Peak Radar local Music and Dance calendar.
