1. First Friday Downtown

When: Friday, March 1st, 2019 6 PM

Cost: FREE

Where: Tour starts at Gallery 113 Downtown, Colorado Springs

Why: Do you love fine art? Do you love learning about fine art from professional artists and painters? Then this event is for you. Take a Walking Tour around Downtown Colorado Springs with well-renowned painter Dr. Karen Standbridge. 2. Manitou Springs Carnivale Parade

When: March 2nd, 2019 1:00 PM

Where: Downtown Manitou Springs

Cost: FREE

Why: Carnivale is here and this family-friendly event will be sure to provide plenty of fun and excitement to this festive time of year. Carnivale is an annual Brazilian festival that marks the very beginning of Lent which starts the forty-day count down until Easter. Carnivale is always held between Friday afternoon before Ash Wednesday and actual ash Wednesday at noon. Manitou Springs is the perfect place to celebrate this exciting festival and the best thing about it is that it is free and anyone can participate. 3. Film: Garden Experience

When: March 2nd, 2019 2 PM

Cost: FREE - Reservations are required

Where: Bear Creek Regional Park

Why: Do you love watching locally produced independent films? Do you love gardening and connecting with your community. Look no further than this special presentation of this truly unique and local film produced by local filmmakers. The community garden run by Bear Creek Nature center is an incredible place to rent your own plot to grow your seasonal vegetables and connect with your fellow community members. This film looks like it is really interesting. Produced by local filmmakers Nancy Bentley and John Atkinson the film follows the Charmaine Nymann Community Garden which is located in Bear Creek Park and run by the Bear Creek Garden Association. 4. Harlem Globetrotters at Broadmoor World Arena

When: March 3rd, 2019 at 2 PM

Cost:  Tickets start at $28.50

Where: Broadmoor World Arena

Why: The Harlem Globetrotters are the original basketball entertainment superstars. With a rich history that dates back to 1926 when Abe Saperstein founded the team the Harlem Globetrotters have performed in front of more than 148 million fans in 123 countries all around the world. 5. Craig Walter Band

When: March 2nd, 2019 8 PM

Cost: $25

Where: Stargazers Theatre & Event Center

Why: The Craig Walter band is a group of Pikes Peak Region musicians who are well known throughout the region for their impressive vocals, guitar, and instrumental lineup. Each musician in the band has a very reputable music resume, from playing with famous bands such as Frank Zappa. If you have not been to the Stargazers Theatre & Event Center then you are missing out. This quaint venue is super unique and provides a very intimate setting for great concerts like Craig Walter band and the opening act Ragged Band of Angels.
