1. New Year, Healthier You;

When: Saturday, January 12th, 2019 10 AM - 3 PM

Cost: Free

Where: Ivywild School

Why: If you love wellness and holistic practice or just want to be healthy in 2019 than this event is for you. The Essential Wellness Society is a Colorado Springs local group of professionals that come together to share their unique knowledge of self-care, holistic healing and overall just living a healthier lifestyle. This event is FREE and open to the public. This all-day event will feature 20 holistic vendors who will offer up their services and products for you to give a spin as well as a wealth of workshops and interesting presentations that are scheduled throughout this fun-filled, healthy day. This is the 3rd annual self-care holistic fair hosted by the Essential Wellness Society and a Garden of Healing. We know getting out in this cold and snowy weather isn't always the best time of year to do so but this indoor event is perfectly scheduled during this cold and potentially snowy day we are expecting. 2. Michael Reese & Spirit Machine

When: Friday, January 11th, 2019 8 PM 

Where: Stargazers Theatre

Cost: Free

Why: Michael Reese is a legendary Colorado guitarist who has recently teamed up with the talented Jimmy Lange (keyboards, vocals, and percussion), Steve Cox (bass guitar) and David Derby (drum and percussion). Often compared to Stevie Ray Vaughn and nominated as the "Best Guitarist of the Year" by the Los Angeles Music awards Michael Reese is an incredibly talented guitarist who is no stranger to rocking out with some of the most talented musicians in the industry. 3. Fountain Creek Winter Bird

When: Saturday, January 12th, 2019 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM 

Where: Fountain Creek Nature Center

Why: Do you love wildlife watching? Do you love bird watching? Here is your chance to be apart of the official bird count at Fountain Creek Nature Center. Both beginners and advanced birders are invited to observe and record the birds they see and the numbers of bird species as well as various bird populations found in Fountain Creek Regional Park Search Fountain Valley Homes

  

4. Pikes Peak Trolleys - Past, Present, and Future

When: Saturday, January 12th, 2019 2 PM 

Cost: Free ($5 suggested donation)

Where: Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum

Why: John Haney is the founder and secretary of the Pikes Peak Trolley Museum and Restoration shop. John grew up in the Old North End of Colorado Springs and worked for the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments and has a passion for historic preservation and Trolleys in Colorado Springs. Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn about the rich history in Colorado Springs as well as a potentially new streetcar system in Colorado Springs. 

 

5. Farm and Art Market

When: January 13th, 11 AM - 2 PM

Cost: Free

Where: Cottonwood Center for the Arts

Why: The Cottonwood Center for the Arts will be hosting this indoor winter farm and art market so you can get a chance to see some fantastic local artists as well as plenty of farm and food vendors. Don't miss the "Kid's Art Corner" where your kids will be given the opportunity to make their own crafts and art to take home. Don't miss some local food trucks serving up delicious meals as well as hot drinks and a ton of pure Colorado fun.
