Colorado Springs has some awesome things to do this week

Colorado Springs is a super-fun place to be this time of year. With incredible weather fit to satisfy any outdoor adventure to unique events only found in the Pikes Peak region, Colorado Springs has plenty of things to do for both adults and kids alike. We have lived here for more than 32 years and love sharing our local knowledge. 1. Colorado Springs Rodeo Finals

When: August 11st at 5:00 PM

Cost: $25 for Adults and $15.50 for children - BUY TICKETS

WhereNorris Penrose Event Center

Why:  Adventures Out West has been hosting a weekly Colorado Springs Rodeo all summer long. This event has been turning heads and lighting up crowds all summer. This week is the culmination event. The weekly event has allowed both amateur and professional riders to qualify for this final event. If you love watching bucking cowboys and actually being apart of the event. This rodeo is participatory as you can stand down on the dirt and be apart of the action. The event is truly one-of-a-kind and shouldn't be missed! After the rodeo action, there is a concert by the band Fireline that is a must see. 

 

 

2. Western Mining Museum Farmers Market

When: August 8th 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Cost: Free

Where: Western Mining Museum In Northgate Colorado Springs

Why: The Western Mining Museum his a unique farmers market which has incredible things to do and see such as the museum's Reynolds Ranch house. This market has a number of amenities such as fresh foods for purchase. a museum with interesting things learns about pertaining to the western mining history that is appointed-generational and fun for both kids and adults too. For example, at the museum, you can pan your own gold!

 

3. Alice Cooper at Pikes Peak Center

When:  August 8th, 7:30 PM

Where: Pikes Peak Performing Arts Center

Cost: $58 - $748.00

Why: Alice Cooper is a legendary rock artist with plenty of hits and a stage presence unique and is set to kick-off in our very own Colorado Springs! Alice Cooper and his hardcore rock is a brand known the world over so this concert is such to please any Classic Rock enthusiast! We have been to plenty of concerts at Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts and this Evening with Alice Cooper is will just another infamous artist to add them to the list of incredible artists that have performed at the Pikes Peak Center. 

 

 

4. Manitou Springs Library Lawn Concert Series

When: Tuesday, August 14th at 7:00 PM

Where: Manitou Springs Library

Why: Manitou Springs has been having concerts on the lawn by the Manitou Springs Library in our very own Manitou Springs, Colorado. Manitou Springs is a relaxed yet exciting place to watch a concert. With the backdrop of the Front Range Rocky Mountains to the West of the town and a great view of Downtown Colorado Springs there are not many places more unique and exciting than Manitou Springs. Unlok is an easy listening band and should provide a one-of-a-kind performance in this great community setting in the eclectic Manitou Springs downtown area. If you love outdoor concerts in the summer like we do then this event will deliver a great experience for both kids and adults.

 

 

5. The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb 

When: Saturday, August 11th,  

Where: Pikes Peak

Why: If you love challenges Pikes Peak is a good bet no matter what outdoor sport you choose. If you love cycling challenges then the Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb is the race for you. The race includes a fun ride for non-competitive athletes and the competitive race and gran fondo which climbs 4,725 ft in elevation gain and extends 12.42 miles up to a final elevation of 14,115 feet above sea level. Pikes Peak is Americas Mountain and this is one of the pinnacle bike race in America.
