Manitou Springs Carnivale
Manitou Springs Carnivale! Saturday, February 26, 2022, the Mardi Gras festivities start at 11:00 am in Soda Spring Park with the Gumbo Cook-Off. There will be 20 Gumbo Chefs and each tasting is just $.075 each so come ready to eat and vote for your favorite! After you've filled your belly with some warm gumbo head on down to Manitou Avenue for the Mardi Gras Parade beginning at 1:00 pm. St. Patrick's Day
Downtown Colorado Springs celebrates St. Patrick's Day! If you're looking for family fun, grabbing a green beer with your friends or participating in a 5k downtown Colorado Springs has it all. The festivities begin on Saturday, March 5th @ 1:00pm with Locate the Leprechaun. Take your children on an approx. 1 mile hunt to find Lenny the Leprechaun (this fun event ends at Josh and John's Ice Cream!). For all those who love fitness, health and exercising mark your calendars for the St. Patty's Sports Expo Friday, March 11th at the Mining Exchange Hotel. March 12th @ 10:00am the 38th Annual 5k for St. Patrick's Day kicks off the Saturday festivities. Immediately following is The Leprechaun Fun Run, this one offers a 1/2 mile course for the little ones and a mile course for adults. After you've warmed up from your run the festivities continue to the Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade beginning @1pm. Pedalin' St. Pats Bike Ride ends the St. Patrick's Day celebrations on March 19th. Territory Days in Old Colorado City~ Memorial Day Weekend May 28th-30th! Join the Westside of Colorado Springs for the largest street fair in Colorado. This 3 day event has hundreds of unique vendors, great food, dozens of educational displays, Native American entertainment, Wild West characters, and live music from 25 bands across 4 stages. Western Street Breakfast
Colorado Springs Western Street Breakfast kicks off the rodeo season! Wednesday June 16th ~ Downtown Colorado Springs. This event not only celebrates its deep-rooted western heritage, it's an annual fundraising event that supports our local military and their families. Grab your western wear & mark your calendars for this event, maybe your child will be the winner of the Kids Western Dress-Up Contest!
Pikes Peak International Hill Climb
100th Running of Pikes Peak International Hill Climb will take place Sunday June 26th! This iconic event is the second oldest race in America. Check out the Spectator Race Week Schedule to plan for this accelerating event. Let's see if this year the overall record from Romain Dumas in 2018 of 7:57:148 can be beat!
Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo
The 81st Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo is held at the scenic Norris Penrose Event Center ~July 13-16. Some of the best athletes in rodeo come to compete in 7 events for top prize money. And don't forget the fan favorite, Mutton Bustin' where a trophy & medal are awarded to the winner at each performance.
Labor Day Lift Off
Experience roughly 70 hot air balloons take off over Prospect Lake ~ September 3-5 at the Labor Day Lift Off! Each morning on this weekend there will be a mass balloon lift from 7:00am-9:00am. Then Saturday & Sunday as the sun is setting the hot air balloons take off again. The magic glow of the hot air balloons in the night sky make this a must see experience.
The Emma Crawford Races & Festival
Emma Crawford Race and Hearse Parade ~ October 29th in Manitou Springs! This signature event commemorates a local tale while brining the community together to celebrate Halloween. For those of you who really get into the spirit join the contest for the best Emma Costume, best Entourage Ensue & most Creative Coffin!
Festival of the Lights Parade
The Festival of the Lights Parade kicks off the Holiday Season ~ Saturday December 3rd Downtown Colorado Springs! This is one of the many spectacular ways to celebrate the holiday season in Colorado Springs. Grab a hot chocolate and watch the city streets become illuminated!
