Bear Run

Saturday November 5th get your bear suite (included in run registration) and head on over to Bear Creek Regional Park for the 8th Annual Bear Run- a family friendly 3k or 5k fun run/walk! This event begins with Bear Yoga at 9:00am and a costume contest at 9:40am. You are supplied with a bear costume but don't stop there! Jazz up your bear suite and enter the costume contest for a chance to win a prize. Don't forget about your furry friends, they can participate too and have a chance of winning a goodie basket. Run begins at 10:00am on trails in Bear Creek Regional Park and all proceeds benefit the Friends of El Paso County Nature Centers Group.

Veterans Day 5k

Saturday November 12th join the Colorado Brewery Running Series for the Veterans Day 5k Fun Run! This event will begin and end at the Goat Patch Brewery. This is not a timed race however complete the whole course and receive a free craft beer at the finish line! The proceeds are added to the money raised throughout the year from the Colorado Brewery Running Series which is donated local Colorado non-profits.

Turkey Trot Predict

Saturday November 19th have your best predication on how long it will take you to complete the 5k course in the Turkey Trot Predict Race. In this race you predict your finish time and the 6 runners closest to their predications get a turkey and the runner that is furthest from their predicted time is given a cornish hen. The Turkey Trot Predict is held at Memorial Park.

Small Business Saturday

Come out and support local businesses on Saturday November 26th! There are a few places that come to mind to celebrate this day. The first one is Downtown Colorado Springs. On this day at Acacia Park 11:00am - 1:00pm there will be free Downtown Holiday Coupon books, stickers and #ShopSmall shopping totes given out (while supplies last). With so many local shops and restaurants it is easy to spend the entire day in Downtown Colorado Springs. Next on the list is Old Colorado City. Most of the local businesses in this area will be having sales in addition to the Christmas Stroll taken place 5:00 to 8:00pm. If you have not participated in this event try to come out this year, it is sure to get you in the Holiday spirit. The Colorado Dickens Carolers will make their way down the street with songs and live holiday skits, there will be Photos with Santa (located in Bancroft Park-Santa's Cabin), Holiday cookies/treats, and live musical performances to celebrate the Holiday Season. There are an abundance of local shops, galleries and restaurants highlighting Manitou Made products, so you will be sure to find that unique gift to give this holiday season. A number of businesses will be offering sales and specials to help celebrate this day. Winter Lights at Seven Falls
