Things To Do~ Labor Day Weekend | COLORADO SPRINGS
Labor Day Weekend is approaching and Fall is in the air! Here a few things to do in the Colorado Springs area to celebrate Labor Day Weekend.
For more than 40 Years the Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off has been a part of brightening the community skies. Mark your calendars for this year's event that will be hosting a few new attractions!
The festivities begin early Saturday Morning September 3rd with the park and concessions opening at 5:30 am and the opening ceremony beginning 6:30 am. The Balloon Lift Off is scheduled for 7:00 am, then stick around for the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Eating Contest, how many doughnuts do you think you can eat?!? The events will break and resume at 3:30 pm with Balloons, Brews, and Bites Happy Hour. There will be several attractions at this time, here are a few highlights:
3:30- 7:00 pm Walk Through Balloon Experience
3:30-5:00 pm Concert Series | Missy & The Dirty Secrets
4:00-8:00 pm Aerial Acrobats- Aerial Aura
6:00-7:00 pm and 8:30-9:30 pm Concert Series- Reminiscent Souls (featuring Suga Bear and Lady Shay)
7:00 pm Balloon Glow
10:00 pm Park and Concessions Close
Sunday morning September 4th the events begin again at 5:30am, Balloon Lift Off at 7:00 am. Here a few more highlights of the Sunday morning events:
9:00 am USAFA Wings of Blue Skydive Jumpers
9:00 am Orangetheory 5k
9:30 am Krispy Kreme Doughnut Eating Contest
The Events begin again at 3:30 with the Bud Light/Mimosa Garden and Balloons Brews, and Bites Happy Hour following:
3:30 PM – 7:00 PM Remote Control Balloon Display
3:30 PM – 7:00 PM Walk through balloon experience
3:30 PM – 5:00 PM Concert Series | Mosquito Pass
4:30 PM Taekwondo Exhibition
4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Aerial Acrobats – Aerial Aura

Monday September 5th the park and Concessions open at 5:30 am following:

8:30 AM Concert Series | 4ID Mile High Rock Band
9:00 AM Remote Control Balloon Display
9:15 AM Ending the Event with Warbird Flyover
*Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am to 4:00pm UpaDowna will be by Prospect Lake renting Stand Up Paddle Boards* Don't worry if you don't have any experience or gear, UpaDowna will provide 1 hour of instruction and gear. * Want to take an adventure in the sky, Rainbow Ryders will be offering Hot Air Balloon Rides! Make sure to book in advance, check in is at 6:00 am. * Plan ahead for parking, see road closures, Pre-Purchase Parking Spots, and PikeRide options.
