The streets running east/west are named for regional rivers, while the streets running north/south are named for regional mountain ranges. Prospect Lake is a community within the downtown area. The actual lake is located inside Memorial Park and is very popular to visit all-year-round. Prospect Lake Beach is run by the Pikes Peak YMCA, and it is a great way to spend a day with your family or friends. Homes in this community are older and quaint bungalows. With the oldest homes being build in 1913, Prospect Lake provides enough history to enhance the community while being modern enough to be comfortable.
