If you are looking for an incredible experience in the outdoors close to anywhere in Colorado Springs look no further than Palmer Park. This City of Colorado Springs Park is an absolutely gorgeous place to visit. From your traditional city park complete with playground, baseball diamonds, football and soccer fields, restrooms, volleyball courts to a wild and open space complete with over 25 miles of trails, a dog park, an equestrian center, an array of picnicking areas geological points of interest and even an incredible botanical reserve. 

Where is Palmer Park?

Palmer Park is located in the north portion of Colorado Springs about 5 minutes east of I-25. 

How do I get there?

From I-25 take Garden of the Gods East. This turns into Austin Bluffs Parkway. Take a right at Brenner Pl. There is parking along the road here or you can access of the many other trailheads available. This will See driving directions here.

Real Estate near Palmer Park is currently in high demand. With few listings on the market, sellers have the advantage when selling there home as there are plenty of buyers yet not much of an inventory. If the price is right homes in this area will not stay on the market long. 

Insider's tips

While the park does have specific areas dedicated to letting your dog off leash it is important to keep your dog on a leash around the rest of the park. Migratory songbirds nest on the ground in grasslands around the park and all it takes is one dog off leash to kill an entire nest of birds.  

The above photo is taken from the Grandview Overlook which is one of the easiest access points in the Park as you can drive right up to a parking lot that is a short walk to the overlook. This is a popular spot to capture photos of our incredible city and the grandeur of Pikes Peak looking down on the city.
