Personally living in the Broadmoor area, I can say there is something special about this neighborhood. Nestled against the backdrop of Cheyenne Mountain, the views and feeling of seclusion are priceless. Although you feel miles away from town, everything you need is just a very short drive.
Located just southwest of the downtown core, this exceptional neighborhood offer homeowners stunning houses surrounded by some fantastic golf courses and natural parks. Several stores and restaurants in close proximity add to the overall appeal of this sought-after part of the city. One really cool attraction located in this area is The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This zoo has recently been ranked as #3 Best Zoo in North America and #2 Best Zoo Exhibit in North America (Rocky Mountain Wild) by the 2022 USA TODAY 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards. Not only do you get to see amazing animals including more than 30 species of endangered species, you can hop on the Mountaineer Sky Ride and take in the breathtaking views and soar over the animal exhibits! Want to feed the animals Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has that too! A few Feeding Experiences include feeding the: Giraffes, Chickens, Goats, Elephants and Rhinos! Once you have a had a fun filled day exploring all this magnificent zoo has to offer, head on up to the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun. Your zoo ticket gets you entrance into this Historic Monument.

This part of Colorado Springs is lower elevation at 6200 feet and tends to be warmer than other parts of El Paso County, promoting the growth of more deciduous trees and beautiful flowers. It also allows for more outdoor fun even in the winter months. Some great parks/trails in the area are: Helen Hunt Falls , North Cheyenne Canon Park, Stratton Open Space, and Seven Falls.
For families considering a move to the Broadmoor area, it's important to know what schools your loved ones will be attending. If you purchase a home in this area, you'll be assigned to the Cheyenne Mountain School District 12. This is one of the highest ranking school districts in the state.
